McGregor vs Alvarez

Are you excited for McGregor vs Alvarez?

UFC 205 is upon us, and one of the most hotly anticipated fights in the fight promotion company’s history will soon be broadcasted to millions of MMA fans. UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor will finally get his chance to be the owner of two belts when he goes up against lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez in what will be the historic debut of the UFC in New York City.

But the most probable question in everyone’s minds would probably be, who will win this monumental fight?

UFC staff and analysts weighed in and shared their favorites to win, and surprisingly, it seems that the two are evenly matched (from the perspective of other MMA fighters).

McGregor vs Alvarez predictions by UFC fighters

Michael Bisping

Michael Bisping shared his prediction for the fight, siding with Eddie Alvarez, who thinks that the lightweight champion will be able to bring the Notorious to the ground and take him away with his superior wrestling.

Though, he also commended McGregor’s stand-up game, Bisping sees Alvarez holding on to his belt at the end of the fight.

Rafael Dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone

Two of Alvarez’s former foes are siding with McGregor for this one, for obvious reasons. Cerrone for one may have a better idea of how the fight will turn out, having defeated the champ at UFC 178.

Demian Maia

Unfortunately for McGregor, Maia does not see the Irishman holding on to two belts at UFC 205.

“Conor is a great fighter, as well as a great entertainer. But I think Alvarez will win this fight,” shared the welterweight fighter.

Junior Dos Santos

Dos Santos shares the same sentiment as Maia, seeing a win for Alvarez.

“It’s going to be hard for Conor to beat Alvarez. I think Alvarez will win this fight. I think Conor McGregor is an excellent fighter but Alvarez just beat Dos Anjos who was the best in the division. It’s going to be interesting!” claimed the UFC heavyweight.

From the looks of things, McGregor vs Alvarez is going to be a nail-biter with both champs carrying their own flaws and advantages. Whether one of them wins a belt, or two, UFC 205 is surely an event MMA fans should not miss.
