During the UFC 204 press conference, headlined by middleweight champion Michael Bisping and challenger Dan Henderson, Vice President for Public Relations Dave Sholler disclosed the schedule for the remainder of 2016. According to Sholler, the fight promotion company will be holding 19 more events this year, including the upcoming UFC 202.

Also included in the final 20 weeks of the year will be UFC 206 on December 10 in Toronto, which will mark the promotion’s return to the city since UFC 165 in 2013. The news has also further ignited rumors of a Gerorges St-Pierre return to the Octagon.

Another major highlight is the UFC’s first-ever fight at the Garden in New York which will host UFC 205. Recent rumors were of a Woodley title defense against GSP or Nick Diaz, but UFC president Dana White has put a lid on those reports after announcing that he will be pitting the welterweight champion against top contender Stephen Thompson.

The schedule for the remainder of 2016 also sees a UFC Fight Night return to Manila, Philippines, headlined by UFC legend BJ Penn going against Ricardo Lamas in a featherweight match. The October 15 bout will be followed by another Fight Night Card on November 5. The event will be headlined by top lightweight contenders Rafael Dos Anjos and Tony Ferguson in Mexico City.
