Practically, you barely get away without injuries after an MMA fight. But after UFC on Fox 18, the fighters that were hit the most were Sage Northcutt and Ryan Bader.
Northcutt, at 19 years of age, has been dubbed as the next big fighter in the UFC but his rise would be halted after being submitted by Bryan Barberena in the 2nd round.
The defeat was devastating to Northcutt, who’s fight record has been blemished for the first time, but furthermore – the suspension could take some time as he is suspended indefinitely with possible injuries from his toes and feet.
His opponent, Bryan Barbena only was given 45 days with only some stitches on his forehead.
For the main event match, Ryan Bader was totally outclassed by Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson by suffering a TKO in the first round due to strikes.
Johnson had total control of the fight since the failed early attempt by Bader to take the fight to the mat.
With that KO, Bader will now face 60 days of suspension and it could be more after some medical tests.
Below are the complete injury and suspension list after UFC on Fox 18.
