Cris Cyborg is going all out to get the UFC’s attention as rumors are swirling that Cyborg is set to face former women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey at UFC 205.
Rousey was being set up for a rematch with Holly Holm, the one who brought her to her knees at UFC 193. Following the loss of Holm to Valentina Shevchenko, however, the fight with Cyborg could be the best fight for her return. Both Rousey and Cyborg have been challenging each other ever since the latter came to the United States.
The fighters have bad blood between them, so putting them inside the Octagon could also mean ticket and pay-per-view sales on the other end. Cyborg has been calling out a fight with Rousey at a catchweight. Since Rousey does not want to leave the 135 lbs. division, Cyborg would need to adjust to make the fight happen.

UFC 205 will be the perfect venue for the two to settle their dispute once and for all as the UFC debuts at the Madison Square Garden in New York City. It will be the first time for the city to host an MMA fight after a crucial deliberation with its lawmakers in April to legalize the hosting of mixed martial arts.
Given this possibility, Cyborg has already started taunting Rousey, calling her a “pillow” who could not take any punch and not an ideal role model for fight fans to adore. Cyborg stated that Rousey was a bully, a trait people failed to see in her, and a sore loser. Cyborg unleashed her list of points against Rousey in her post on Facebook that describes Rousey as a “failed hype.”
“When I see little girls rocking their ‘DNB’ shirts,” she continued, referring to Rousey’s trademark, which stands for “Do Nothing B—-, “and Reebok shoes in the supermarket, I think about what poor examples of sportsmanship you have displayed. I think about you cursing [Holly Holm] at the weigh-ins, refusing to shake Miesha Tate’s hand following your victory, and all of the mean things you have said about me and my family.”

MMA: Cris "Cyborg" Justino calls out Ronda Rousey on Facebook, wants to fight her at UFC 205 at Madison Square Gardenvia @ESPN

UFC President Dana White announced that Rousey would get a title shot when she makes her comeback. The title is currently held by Amanda Nunes, who won the belt after beating Miesha Tate via submission at UFC 200. Cyborg is sending a message to White that Rousey should not take the easy way for a title shot. That is, she should prove herself worthy.
“I’m not trying to inspire you [Rousey] to suddenly become a better person, or become anything you’re not,” Justino wrote. “But there was a time in your life when you told people you wanted to fight me. Maybe you didn’t quite understand the way the world worked then, but you also didn’t care what anyone thought.”
Cyborg is serious in calling out the fight against Rousey and she hopes that White and the UFC would stop protecting her. She wants the UFC to make the fight happen for them to settle their differences and UFC 205 would be the best venue for it to happen.
