Philadelphia 76ers is looking for all possible options to unload some of their big men and a trade is a likely option. Trade rumors suggest that the 76ers send both Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel to the Milwaukee Bucks for Greg Monroe.
The 76ers at the start of the summer has already been tackling on how to discuss the issue of a logjam in their roster. When Ben Simmons injured his foot, it gave them a breather to space out their roster but they still need to ship either Okafor or Noel. In the proposed deal, the only solution to it is to have both players traded for one and in this case for Monroe.
We should trade Greg Monroe to the 76ers for Noel or Okafor

Monroe is still considered as one of the legitimate big men in the NBA and getting him to the 76ers roster would bring experience as well. The 26-year old bring in six years of experience and could be a leader for the 76ers’ young talented core. He could help out Joel Embiid in the center spot since Embiid’s health is still questionable for the season.
Monroe could fill in the slacks for Embiid as he averages 15.3 points and 8.8 rebounds a game. His contract could also come in handy as he would be an unrestricted free agent next season if things do not work out with him and the team.
NBA insider Kevin Pelton thinks that Monroe still has a market value and the Bucks are just waiting for the perfect opportunity to put him in a trade. Pelton added that if the Bucks see the opportunity, they would not have any second thoughts of cutting ties with Monroe.
For the Bucks getting two young and talented players in Okafor and Noel would give them a solid second unit. Bucks head coach Jason Kidd could try to move some of his forwards to fill in the gaps since Khris Middleton is still on the injured list and have Noel in the rotation.
Okafor, for his part, could see himself together with Miles Plumlee and Thon Maker as rim protectors. Either way, the Bucks could find themselves with two future potential NBA All-Stars who could help them in their campaign this season.
The deal is plausible and could very well be explored by both the 76ers and the Bucks. The 76ers aim to make a stand behind its talented young core while the Bucks hope to overachieve themselves this season.
Monroe can jump to free agency next summer with his player’s option but given a proper place in a team, he might stay for a while. With the 76er roster, an experienced Monroe could very well help Elton Brand in making sure they meet their goals.
