Jeremy Lin injury update

Jeremy Lin signed a three-year, $36 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets this past summer. However, he has been limited to only 12 games because of a hamstring injury. As of this writing, there is still no timetable for Lin’s return to the court.

Jeremy Lin talks about his injury

Lin missed a handful of games due to a hamstring injury and he returned on December 12. However, he re-injured his left hamstring against the Charlotte Hornets on December 26, per FOX Sports. He averaged 15.3 points in 23.7 minutes during his short return from injury.

In an interview with ESPN, Lin talked about his injury and he was very frustrated. He noted that he did not talk to anybody when he re-injured his hamstring. However, he is feeling very positive and he wants to return in a big way.

“It’s been difficult. The night that I got hurt I didn’t feel like talking or was just not in a place where I had anything to say to really anybody. That night I was pretty upset,” Lin said.

“I think the whole process has been not what I anticipated in terms of getting the opportunity to be on this team, but I think that’s life. I think it’s more how you respond from it,” he added.

No timetable for Lin’s return

According to Mike Scotto of Basketball Insiders, the Nets have not given a timetable regarding the return of Jeremy Lin. In his starting spot, rookie Isaiah Whitehead has taken advantage of the minutes but the Nets are still the worst team in the NBA with an 8-25 record. Brooklyn has lost three straight games and has only won twice in their last ten games.
