The NBA have five games slated on Thursday, March 24, 2016. One of those games is the second game of the back-to-back between the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls. Here is the game’s NBA preview as well as its TV schedule.
The Knicks are looking to build from their 115-107 win on Wednesday at the Bulls’ United Center. Kristaps Porzingis tied his career-high with 29 points to go along with 10 rebounds and one assist.
“I looked up at the scoreboard in the fourth quarter and saw how many (points) I had, but I didn’t know about the record. I don’t want to force up a shot just to break a record,” Porzingis said after the game via NBA.com.
Carmelo Anthony added 24 points, three rebounds and five assists after missing the game against the Sacramento Kings last Sunday due to a migraine. Anthony was asked after the game about his thoughts on choosing New York over Chicago in free agency last 2014.
“It was close (to happening). It was close, real close. That’s all I can say about it,” he said.
From the Bulls side in this NBA preview, Nikola Mirotic scored a career-high 35 points in the loss. All-Star guard Jimmy Butler struggled from the field as he only had seven points but contributed eight assists and two steals.
He blamed himself for their loss against the Knicks that cause the team to fall behind the Detroit Pistons in the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
“I know this is a team game, but if one of your so-called best players is not doing what their supposed to do, that’s what is going to happen,” Butler said.
Both teams have less than 24 hours to rest before facing each other again on Thursday in Madison Square Garden. The game starts at 7:30 PM ET and is available online on multiple devices via the NBA League Pass.
It will also be broadcasted live locally in the United States on the MSG Channel and CSN-Chicago.
