Free agency for Al Horford could soon be over with NBA rumors that the Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards are the top two teams being considered by the veteran big man.

Adrian Wojnarowski confirmed on Saturday that the two East teams, Celtics and Wizards, have “emerged as the frontrunners” for unrestricted free agent, who has played for the Atlanta Hawks the last nine seasons.

Reports on Friday stated that Horford was considering four teams in free agency, including his previous team, the Hawks and the Houston Rockets.

There are also reports of a “mystery team” for Horford, but the team name has not been revealed. Other NBA rumors have Horford linked to the Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Lakers.

According to a report from Wojnarowski, Horford’s decision will come on Saturday night. Some other NBA rumors have the Celtics and Wizards willing to offer Horford a four-year $113 million contract.

The Hawks could give Horford a five-year deal but they already spent most of their salary cap space on signing Dwight Howard and re-signing Kent Bazemore.

There are also other speculations that Horford is not pleased with the Hawks’ move to sign Howard, who plays the same center position.

The 30-year-old Horford averaged 15.2 points and 7.3 rebounds in the 2015-2016 regular season for the Hawks. In 10 games in the playoffs, he averaged 13.4 points and 6.5 rebounds.

Atlanta won over Boston in six games in the first round but was swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the next round.
