The Chicago Bulls will have a busy offseason trying to improve their roster following a disappointing 2015-16 season. According to the latest NBA rumors, the Bulls are willing to trade Derrick Rose and select a point guard in the upcoming NBA draft.
Even though there is no clear confirmation from Bulls front office, general manager Gar Forman and vice president of basketball operations John Paxson told CSN Chicago that only Michael Jordan is the only untouchable player in history.
Both men added that they are willing to explore all options this offseason. Rose has been linked with several teams and the Bulls could pull the trigger if they are blown away by an offer.
According to the Chicago Tribune, there were some signs that the Bulls may be willing to let go of the 2011 MVP. The team recently parted ways Jen Swanson, who was the team’s director of sports performance.
Swanson is a well-known physical therapist from Los Angeles that the Bulls hired in 2013 to manage the team’s training and strength staffs. She also helped Derrick Rose during his rehabilitation for a torn ACL in 2012.
Many people see Swanson as a close friend to Rose and part of his inner circle. The Tribune noted that her firing is just a move to “shake things up,” but it can cause a lot of rumors especially if the Bulls use their 14th overall pick to draft a point guard.
