Draymond Green’s controversial summer continues after he was caught on Snapchat sharing a “dick pic” to a correspondent. This was weeks after he was arrested and charged with assault by a college football player, prompting NBA rumors that the Golden State Warriors may now be considering trading him eventually if he continues with his embarrassing off court antics.
Green was quick to claim his account was hacked but eventually apologized and admitted that it was a message he was supposed to send in private.
“I apologize for the situation. It’s clearly not what I was trying to do,” Green said about the incident. “I kinda hit the wrong button and it sucks. It was meant to be private. We’re all one click away from placing something in the wrong place and I suffered from that this morning.”
Snapchat users were able to see the embarrassing photo for about 10 minutes, according to reports, before it was taken down.
The Sunday incident involving Green does not also look good for Team USA, which the Warriors forward is part of, participating in the Rio 2016 Olympics.
Just last month, Green was accused of slapping a Michigan State University football player in East Lansing, Michigan. This prompted NBA rumors that the Warriors may now be tired of Green’s antics and could trade him soon.
Golden State acquired superstar forward Kevin Durant in 2016 free agency but Green is still valued in the Warriors’ system that has been very successful the last two years.
There is no hint from the Warriors’ management that they will trade Green because of his last two troubles. However, it remains to be seen until how long they can tolerate Green and his off-court problems especially as they have Durant in the roster already.
With Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala and Durant as part of the core in Golden State, there are possibilities that Golden State can explore a trade involving Green.
