The three-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade seemed to be disappointed with the happenings in the recent free agency after the Miami Heat gave him an initial offer of $10 million per season.

The 2016 NBA free agency has made lots of NBA players rich, but not Dwyane Wade.

Here is an update from Adrian Wojnarowski of the Vertical: “The Heat’s initial offer of $10 million annually – which would’ve constituted a 50 percent pay cut from his $20 million 2015-16 salary – deeply angered Wade, league sources told The Vertical. Even with the Heat planning to counter to a higher figure, league sources said, Wade has been insistent on starting to explore the market and meet with teams once he returns from an overseas vacation, league sources said.”

It seems like the Miami Heat is valuing Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic more than Dwyane Wade, who spent all his 13-year NBA career with them. Aside from Wade’s loyalty, he has also given them three NBA championship titles in 2006, 2012 and 2013. With their current offer, the Heat must be prepared for Dwyane Wade to leave this summer.

The Miami Heat are one of the six NBA teams who are reportedly the possible destination of Thunder superstar Kevin Durant. However, there were reports saying that the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, and the Oklahoma City Thunder are the strong contenders to land the 2016 NBA top free agent.

Miami Heat free agents Luol Deng and Tyler Johnson recently signed with Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets respectively. With the current situation, it seems like the Heat is still waiting for Kevin Durant’s decision before they raise their offer for Dwyane Wade.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of the Vertical, Dwyane Wade has received interest from several NBA teams with offers in the $20 million annual range. The Denver Nuggets and the Milwaukee Bucks are the top teams who are highly pursuing the Heat free agent.

Basketball Insider reported that Dwyane Wade’s on-court earnings are $156 million in his 13-year NBA career. It was almost equal to what Mike Conley signed with the Memphis Grizzlies worth $153 million for the next five years. Conley and Wade have performed well with their respective teams.

However, it seems like Dwyane Wade is not valued enough by the Miami Heat. Once he decided to join other NBA teams, the Heat will surely realize that it is not Wade’s loss, it’s theirs.
