The NBA trade market is set to be very busy in the coming months as the February deadline fast approaches. Here is the SportsRageous’ list of five players who will surely be traded before the traded deadline.

Nerlens Noel, C – Philadelphia 76ers

Since returning from knee surgery, Nerlens Noel has only played limited minutes. He also plays behind Jahlil Okafor and Joel Embiid, and playing together is clearly not going to work. He recently expressed his frustration and it led to the team not making him part of the regular rotation, per CBS Sports.

It will surely lead to a trade before the deadline but his value very low. Nevertheless, there are teams like the Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Portland Trail Blazers and Chicago Bulls that could acquire Noel.

Andrew Bogut, C – Dallas Mavericks

Just like Nerlens Noel, Andrew Bogut will get a lot of interest from teams needing defensive stability in the middle. His salary will be tough to match for some teams but it is coming off the books at the end of the season.

The only problem with Bogut is his health as he is known for being injury prone. NBA rumors imply that the Celtics have already tried to acquire the Australian big man before he suffered the knee injury a couple of weeks ago.

Omer Asik, C – New Orleans Pelicans

Another alternative for teams looking to improve their defense is Omer Asik. The Turkish center has been made available by the New Orleans Pelicans, per NBA rumors have linked Asik to the Celtics but his salary is too toxic for Boston to consider it.

However, one team that could acquire Asik is the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 30-year-old became one of the defensive centers in the league under Tom Thibodeau, who is looking to add a veteran presence to the young Wolves.

Rudy Gay, SF – Sacramento Kings

Opposite of the first three names on this list, Rudy Gay offers offense rather than defense. The Kings forward has been in many NBA rumors in the past couple of months. He is set to become a free agent at the end of the season which makes him the perfect one-year rental.

Teams like the Orlando Magic have been linked with him as they need a scorer. However, the Timberwolves, Miami Heat, and Oklahoma City Thunder could all be possible trade destinations for Rudy Gay.

DeMarcus Cousins, C – Sacramento Kings

The biggest name on the trade market this season is DeMarcus Cousins. He is considered as the best big man in the NBA today but his attitude prevents teams from acquiring him. However, the Kings will be left with no choice but to trade him since his value decreases next year.

Some of the teams with a realistic chance of acquiring him are the Denver Nuggets, Boston Celtics, and Washington Wizards. However, it does not guarantee them that they can keep Cousins in check since six coaches have failed to do so.
