Boston Celtics small forward Jae Crowder has been unhappy with his team for the past several days due to their plans to upgrade the position he plays next season. However, the latest NBA rumors suggest that there is another issue that made Crowder very upset.

The 26-year-old was part of the Celtics’ pitch to Kevin Durant this offseason and he was very sure that they will be able to sign him. However, as we all know, Durant decided to sign with the Golden State Warriors and form a “superteam” with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

When Durant made the decision, Crowder was very upset because they told the 2014 MVP their plans to stop guys like Curry and Thompson. He told Mass Live that the Celtics should not have told all their scouting report on the Warriors.

“That’s what made me mad. We (expletive) told him everything we do to beat these guys, and we beat them, and he went and joined them. I mean, that’s part of the process, but I did not think he would go to those two teams,” Crowder said.

Nevertheless, the Marquette product is looking forward to their two matchups with Durant and the Warriors. He is also focused on defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers and he turned it into motivation for the upcoming season.

On the other hand, Crowder made several headlines earlier this week because of his reaction to a report by CSN New England about players that the Celtics could target in next year’s free agency. The report named Kevin Durant, Rudy Gay, Gordon Hayward, Danilo Gallinari, and Blake Griffin.

Out of those five players, the first four are small forwards and plays the same position as Crowder. Of course, the Celtics starting SF was not amused and took to Twitter to express his reaction.
