If there is one player who is really in awe of James Harden’s capabilities, it is none other than Patrick Beverley. These two currently plays for the Houston Rockets in the NBA. This NBA rumors report is about Beverley’s confidence on his teammate for the next season.

According to Oliver Maroney of Basketball Insiders, Beverley is expecting that Harden will win the MVP award and lead them into the championship this upcoming season.

Patrick added that Harden becomes a better player every year.

“James is like a brother to me, so I’ve seen him improve each year in [regards to] him being a leader,” Beverley said.

Those are strong words made by Harden’s teammate. It is actually not surprising for him to think that way since James had an MVP-like numbers last season.

Harden had averages of 29 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, 7.5 assists per game, 1.7 steals per game and 0.6 blocks per game in his 2016 campaign. He is criticized at times for his defense, but his stats are saying otherwise.

The only thing that is keeping James from winning the MVP trophy is his lack of leadership for his team.

Stats don’t matter if the player doesn’t win games for his team. This was evident last season in which the Rockets have a complete team that barely advanced into the playoffs as the eight-seeded team in the West.

Their campaign was eventually ended by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the playoffs.

It is really important for Harden to take note of this NBA rumors made by Beverley about him so that he could be extra motivated for the Rockets next season.
