Kevin Durant is undoubtedly the top free agent in the 2016 offseason and NBA rumors are in that the Oklahoma City Thunder superstar has cut his free agency list down to six teams. Who are still under consideration for KD and which franchise will he be playing for next season?

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Durant’s representatives from ROC Nation, the agency which handles the OKC star’s career, are planning to host free agency meetings in New York for the teams interested in Durant.

The news is a change of plan for Durant, who was reported earlier in the week to be hosting teams in his home in Los Angeles.

The report mentioned the six teams who are on top of Durant’s list, two teams from the Eastern Conference and four teams from the Western Conference.

The teams are the Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, San Antonio Spurs and the Thunder, Durant’s team since being drafted in the league.

NBA rumors has also added other teams like the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards as possible destinations for Durant but that it’s unlikely that he moves to those teams.

It also added that the Thunder remain the “favorites” to win the Durant’s sweepstakes and it’s possible that he will re-sign on a “one-plus-one” short term deal and once again explore free agency in 2017.

As for what will affect Durant’s decision in the 2016 free agency, it said that winning the NBA title immediately is one of the top factors for Durant.

With this criteria, NBA rumors point to the Spurs and Warriors as among the favorites to sign Kevin Durant this summer.
