NBA Rumors: Former Laker Kwame Brown looks to return in the league?

By on

Kwame Brown is a former number one overall pick by the Washington Wizards in the 2001 NBA draft. He has been inactive in the league for almost three years. This NBA rumors report suggests that Brown might be looking for a comeback in the league.

The NBA rumors regarding Kwame’s comeback were announced on the website of the agency he recently signed up with. This sports agency is called “Interperformances.” The agency engages in dealing with their athletes’ contract negotiations.

Interperformances said that Brown is now ready to return to the NBA. They believe in the player by telling teams in the league that he is “physically healthy,” and that he is “an outstanding player right now.”

The agency added that their client is currently a “more matured and more experienced player.” They also stated that their athlete’s reason for returning in the league is due to his “love for the game.”

Those are bold statements by the Interperformances sports agency about the former NBA player.

But in reality, it is not enough that Kwame is making a comeback in the league just to play the game. He should really have meaningful tryouts with teams that might invite him in their training camps this off-season. His last stint in the league is largely unnoticed due to his lackluster performance.

Brown has not yet proved that he deserved his draft position in the NBA. In his 12 seasons in the league, he only tallied 6.6 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, 0.9 assists per game, 0.5 steals per game and 0.6 blocks per game.

With his age of 34-years-old right now, it will really be hard for him to be signed by an NBA team unless he shows drastic improvement with his game.
