NBA Rumors: Phoenix Suns giving away Brandon Knight and 13th overall pick for Jahlil Okafor

Rumors and speculations are swirling around the Phoenix Suns who are reportedly trading Brandon Knight and their 13th overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft for Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor.

After the trade rumors about Jahlil Okafor started, several NBA teams expressed their interest to acquire the 20-year old center. These include the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Phoenix Suns. The Philadelphia 76ers have noticed the lacking chemistry between Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor in the recent season. With this, they are thinking of trading one of them to acquire another franchise player that will shape their future in the league.

According to Fansided, the Phoenix Suns can be a potential trade partner for the Philadelphia 76ers. The Suns can offer Brandon Knight and the 13th overall pick to acquire Jahlil Okafor for their team. Their strong connection with Jerry and Bryan Colangelo can be a huge factor for the 76ers to grab the deal.

If the trade between the Suns and 76ers became a success, it would be a great opportunity for Jahlil Okafor to team up with Devin Booker, knowing they are among the top rookies in the 2015-16 NBA season. The Suns are desperately looking for a legitimate big man for years and Okafor might be the answer to their prayer.

The 76ers failed to unleash the full potential of Jahlil Okafor in the recent season because of court issues with Nerlens Noel. The Suns young head coach Earl Watson will be challenged to get the most out of Okafor. However, the Philadelphia 76ers will surely have a strong competition among other teams who also want to acquire Okafor.

The Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, and the Minnesota Timberwolves are expected to make a seductive offer to acquire Jahlil Okafor for their team.
