NBA Rumors: Stephen Curry-Kevin Durant tandem could destroy LeBron James and the Cavaliers; ‘The King’ not afraid of the Warriors’ ‘Super Team’

The combination of Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant in the Golden State Warriors are predicted to be the tandem who could destroy LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers next season.

The Golden State Warriors successfully upgraded their roster with the acquisition of Kevin Durant in the recent free agency. While the Warriors are very eager to take their revenge against the Cavaliers, Durant is aiming for his first NBA championship title.

Despite the improvements of most NBA teams, the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers are still predicted to rule the Western and Eastern Conferences, respectively. Though the Cavaliers are the defending champions, many people believe that the Stephen Curry-Kevin Durant tandem can give the Warriors the 2017 NBA championship title.

“It’s going to be a different vibe because it’s a different team and different dynamics with different players with KD joining us. … We have probably six or seven new guys.”

“All that narrative around our team, how people view us, doesn’t really matter to us,” Curry said. “We are who we are, and we’re championship contenders going forward.”

When KD joined the Warriors, the Cleveland Cavaliers were expected to make a counter move. There are rumors that the Cavaliers are trying to trade Kevin Love to improve their roster. Unfortunately, as of now, the Cavaliers are not making any major move.

In the nearing start of the 2016-17 NBA season, the Cavaliers are expected to have the same starting lineup if J.R. Smith re-signs in the coming days. Instead of being pressure, LeBron James took it as a challenge and said that Durant’s decision to join the Warriors is great for the league.

“So, I think it’s all great for our league. Our league is very competitive. It’s continued to grow, and [NBA Commissioner] Adam Silver has done a great job of picking up where David Stern started, so it’s pretty cool.” James said.

Even with the emergence of the Warriors’ ‘Super Team’, no one can accurately predict who will win the 2017 NBA championship title. The past seasons proved that major upsets can happen every time. All NBA fans must be excited to see the Cavaliers-Warriors face off next season.
