Anthony Davis will never be the same after undergoing different surgeries and injuries in recent years, according to recent rumors and speculations. However, new reports state that Davis has never been better and actually has “no restrictions” when the new NBA season starts later this year.

Will the New Orleans Pelicans perform better next season when Davis is reportedly 100% healthy? Or will they disappoint again to force Davis to demand a trade for the only franchise he has played for in his NBA career?

The Pelicans need to bounce back in the upcoming season to convince Davis that they have long-term plans for the franchise. New Orleans finished 30-52 last year but is expected to perform better next season.

Battling for a playoff spot this year will help them in convincing him to stay for the future but they eventually have to be one of the top contenders in the West or Davis might demand a trade despite being under contract the next five seasons.

Is it possible that Davis also joins the “Super Team” Golden State Warriors, which recently acquired superstar Kevin Durant in free agency? Which players would the Warriors give up without hurting their chemistry, which is already in question because of the arrival of Durant?

From ESPN’s Trade Checker, an Anthony Davis for Draymond Green and Shaun Livingston deal works under the NBA trade rules.

Currently, this deal does not make sense for the Pelicans but it’s something they can consider in the future if it’s not working in New Orleans next season and if Davis continues to struggle with injuries.

Green is an All-Star and Livingston is just salary filler. The Warriors can add future first round picks to convince Pelicans to a deal in this particular NBA rumors.

For the Warriors, giving up Green is easy even though they have to consider if Davis could be a good fit like Green is to Golden State. Recently, Steve Kerr talked about the team’s need for a shot blocker and Davis easily fits that role.

Green has also been involved in many controversies the last few months and the Warriors might consider letting him go because of the off-the-court issues.

This Warriors-Pelicans NBA rumor might not be the best deal for New Orleans since they can find better offers from other teams for a superstar like Anthony Davis. But talks of Anthony Davis trade from the Pelicans should make the headlines if N.O. continues to struggle in the upcoming season.
