Former Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade had parted ways with the organization in the latest NBA Free Agency and signed with his hometown team the Chicago Bulls. In his 13 years being with the Heat, the superstar guard had won three NBA titles and became an All-Star twelve times.
“I’m thankful for the love, the opportunity that I’ve had in this city for 13 years to just create some unbelievable magic,” Wade said July. “That goes nowhere. That will be something that we will all have in common for many, many years down the line.”
According to CBS Sports, superstar Dwyane Wade cleared the rumors about his move and being undervalued, he made clear that it was never about the Heat fans who have adored him and cheered for him since he was drafted back in 2003. He even expressed his love for the city of Miami and the fans through an ad on an I-395 billboard near the American Airlines Arena.

Even though Wade had left the city, the Heat organization still showed its support by purchasing a full-page advertisement in South Florida’s major newspapers. In the papers, Wade was featured in a photo with a caption, “We’ll leave a key under the mat for you. Thank you for 13 unforgettable years. Best of luck in Chicago”.
“South Florida is still home and special to me,” Wade also posted on Snapchat.
