The Brooklyn Nets are the worst team in the NBA this season so far with a record of 8-33. They also don’t have a first-round pick until the 2019 season which means they have to trade some of their best players to get a draft pick for next year’s loaded class.

Brook Lopez is currently the best asset the Nets have and he surely fetches more than a first-round pick. According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Nets are willing to part ways with their best player for two first-round picks. Here is SportsRageous’ list of four possible landing spots for Lopez.

Chicago Bulls

The Bulls need to something to save their season and trading for Brook Lopez is one of them. They can trade a first round pick plus a player like Rajon Rondo, who is unwanted in Chicago. However, the Nets will surely decline a deal like this and ask for a younger player, possibly Bobby Portis.

Nevertheless, Brook will help the struggling offense of the Bulls and gives Fred Hoiberg a third option after Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade. It is also going to be a Lopez family reunion since Brook’s twin brother, Robin, plays in Chicago.

Portland Trail Blazers

The Blazers need to make some changes to save their fathering season. Adding Brook Lopez would relieve some pressure of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. Also, Portland has a player the Nets wanted in the offseason, Allen Crabbe.

The Nets could settle to deal possibly involving Crabbe or Meyers Leonard plus a first round pick and another complementary player. It works both ways since the Blazers get a third All-Star and the Nets finally have a draft pick to build on.

Boston Celtics

Just like the Blazers, the Celtics need a third All-Star and they could settle with Brook Lopez now that DeMarcus Cousins is not leaving Sacramento. However, this deal becomes tricky because the Nets will surely want their 2017 first round pick back.

The Celtics could trade their own first round pick next year and possibly, Jaylen Brown for Lopez. Boston will need to add the expiring deal of Amir Johnson just to balance out the salaries. Nevertheless, the Celtics are playoff contenders already but they need a player like Lopez to increase their chances of dethroning the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Houston Rockets

According to FOX Sports, the Rockets can give the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs a run for their money if they can acquire Brook Lopez. James Harden will have a good pick-and-roll partner, as well as another option on offense.
