Jimmy Butler’s name was involved in many NBA trade rumors recently. Butler currently plays for the Chicago Bulls. There might be speculations about the player being traded this off-season, but this NBA trade rumor report is suggesting otherwise.
According to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, the Bulls organization is pertaining to Jimmy as the face of the franchise. If this is the case, then Butler is going to be a part of the team for the foreseeable future.
Kyler added that the Bulls are seeing Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade complementing each other on the court.
The Bulls are really inclined to stick with Butler as the team’s franchise player. This is actually true since it is not expected that the top additions to the team like Wade and Rajon Rondo are going to carry them. Wade is already 34-years-old while Rondo is aged 30, and the two players are really prone to injuries at this point of their careers.
It is just right for Chicago to think about Jimmy as an untouchable piece of the team. Butler will turn 27-years-old before the start of the next season.
Butler is a young player who could really have a breakout 2016-2017 season. This is because of his last season averages of 20.9 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, 4.8 assists per game, 1.6 steals per game and 0.6 blocks per game.
The NBA trade rumors of Butler being shopped by the Bulls to other teams are looking bleak based on this report.
