John Wall is frank in admitting that his on-court relationship with backcourt partner Bradley Beal needs improvement. In a recent revealing interview, the star point guard called out his fellow star saying that they have to work together for the Washington Wizards to improve for the upcoming NBA season.

Could this rift continue to the new NBA season and will NBA trade rumors come out again if they continue to have issues with each other?

“I think a lot of times we have a tendency to dislike each other on the court. … We got to be able to put that to the side. If you miss somebody on one play or don’t have something go right,” Wall said via CSN Mid-Atlantic.

“As long as you come to each other and talk. If I starting arguing with somebody I’m cool. I’m just playing basketball.”

Wall also mentioned that he wants to see Beal as an All-Star like him and for his teammate to continue to “improve his game”

“If we were playing well as a tandem like the other two superstars that play together as a backcourt, play as a tandem, one night it’s going to be his night, one night it’s going to be mine, some nights it might be both of us. Those are nights it’s going to be tough to beat us,” Wall added referring to their roles for the Wizards next season.

“I want it all to be on me. At the same time I want him to be right there with me. He’s my sidekick. I’m A. He’s A-1.”

Wall calling his star teammate a “sidekick” won’t be good to hear for Beal, if interpreted wrongly. But it could be that the Wizards point guard just means that he wants a partner inside the court to try to help Washington back to playoff contention.

For the Wizards, they hope to play better than last season or the NBA trade rumors involving Beal or Wall will start again during the 2016-2017 NBA Season.
