The Dallas Mavericks struggled early this season and started with a 0-5 record. They managed to bounce back in the last two games, defeating the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Lakers. Harrison Barnes, who scored 31 points against the Lakers, led the Mavericks after Dirk Nowitzki suffered an injury.

In their next game, Harrison Barnes and Andrew Bogut will be sending a message to the Golden State Warriors. Recalling in the recent offseason, Barnes only served as the Warriors second option if Kevin Durant will re-sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, the 24-year-old small forward said that he is now happy having a bigger role in Dallas.

“There’s a lot more opportunity for me here,” Barnes said. “The offense is different. Obviously, I’m not complaining about my role at Golden State, because we won a lot of games doing that. But in the same regard here, there’s just more opportunities to do different things.”

When KD chose the Golden State, Andrew Bogut’s salary was traded to the Dallas Mavericks to create enough salary cap room. With the departure of Bogut, the Warriors immediately found a replacement center, Zaza Pachulia, at a much cheaper price.

“Look, you get a chance to get one of the best players in the world, you jump at that chance,” Bogut said. “If I’m the GM, you generally jump at that chance.”

Stephen Curry has finally regained his shooting touch after going 0-10 from beyond the arc against the Los Angeles Lakers.  The upcoming game between the Mavericks and the Warriors will be featuring an exciting matchup between Andrew Bogut vs Zaza Pachulia, Harrison Barnes and Kevin Durant, and the Curry Brothers.
