Tim Tebow does not worry at the same time where his free agency will take him as he focuses on the success of his celebrity golf charity tournament event held over the weekend.
TMZ reported that Tebow’s event dubbed as Tim Tebow Foundation Celebrity Gala and Golf Classic held in Jacksonville managed to raise a sizeable amount that will all go to kids’ charity institution that is connected with the 28-year old quarterback namely W15H Program, Timmy’s Playrooms, Tebow CURE Hospital, Orphan Care and Team Tebow.
The event saw celebrities such as Marcus Allen, Urban Meyer, Lou Holtz, Ashley Benson, The Band Perry, and the guys from “Duck Dynasty.” The event, which followed a shotgun format, saw 1996 Heisman Trophy winner Danny Wuerffel taking the title after beating Duck Dynasty’s Al Robertson in a playoff following the 18th hole.
As for his career in the NFL, no teams have yet expressed their interest in signing up Tebow after he joined the bandwagon of free agents for this season. There were speculations that he will renew ties with the Denver Broncos, the team that drafted him in the 2010 NFL Draft. But the rumors are still rumors as the Broncos has introduced Mark Sanchez and is keen on making him the starting quarterback for this year’s season.
The Broncos are also keen on making a move to land Colin Kaepernick from the San Francisco 49ers but all things will depend on how the Broncos will play their cards while they have shine away from negotiating with Ryan Fitzpatrick because of his stiff demands.
However, Broncos executive vice president of football operations and general manager John Elway stated that everything “is a process” and they are still weighing their options going into the Draft next month as they have 10 selections and are looking for a possible franchise quarterback among the list of a talented pool.
Tebow last played for the Philadelphia Eagles and also had a stint with the Broncos, New York Jets and New England Patriots.
As for Tebow, he will leave everything to his agents as to where he will play next but will never be a free agent in the idea of helping children through his foundations.
