NFL Playoff Picture 2017; Patriots, Cowboys favorites to win Super Bowl LI

The cast for the 2017 NFL postseason is set and the schedule for the first round of the playoffs is out.

Making the AFC playoffs are the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs as the top seeds. Both teams earn first round byes and await their opponent in the AFC divisional round.

Four teams battling in the AFC wild card round are the Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Oakland Raiders and Houston Texans.

In the NFC, the Dallas Cowboy and Atlanta Falcons get a first round bye. They will face the winners from the NFC wild card featuring the Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, New York Giants and Detroit Lions.

The AFC schedule is out already with the seedings set, but the Lions and Packers are still battling on which team will make it out as the NFC North champions as of Sunday night.

*The winner of the Packers vs. Lions matchup will win the NFC North and get the higher seed in the wild card.

The winner of the Packers vs. Lions matchup gets a wild card date against the Giants while the loser pairs with the wild card top seed Seahawks.
