The Denver Broncos have placed veteran quarterback Mark Sanchez on the trading block, according to the latest NFL rumors. This could open the preceding speculations that the Broncos are interested in Colin Kaepernick after being associated to the Broncos earlier in the off-season.
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football talk, the Broncos are “working the phones and trying to trade” Mark Sanchez and the veteran QB could be cut by Tuesday or Wednesday if the Broncos don’t deal him to another NFL squad.
The Broncos announced that Trevor Siemian would be the starter for their team in Week 1 of the regular season when they face the Carolina Panthers, a rematch of the last Super Bowl where Denver won.

There are rumors and speculations that the Broncos may be interested in Kaepernick again, because of the controversy in San Francisco. Paxton Lynch is a quarterback for the future but not ready to contribute this season.
According to ESPN last April, Broncos general manager John Elway wanted Kaepernick but only for the fourth round pick in a future draft. Elway also wanted Kaepernick to take a pay cut to move to Denver.
Kaepernick did not want a pay cut but with the recent controversy he’s in with San Francisco, he might change his mind about being traded to Denver.
Kaepernick has also lost his starting QB job with the 49ers choosing Blaine Gabbert as their starter, according to NFL rumors.
Kaepernick might settle for the pay cut so he can join a contender and get the starting QB job back. The Broncos are also the defending champions and that could be an appealing spot for the quarterback.
