Earlier the Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins had been hopeful that he could somehow join the team for training camp. Now that seems doubtful as new NFL rumors claiming that he might likely not be able to join it after all.
Sammy Watkins is still optimistic that he could join training camp, according to ESPN. However he also said that the Bills will likely not allow him to join them. He has said to ESPN that he is not sure if the Bills would want him to be in training camp.

“You never know,” was his answer after being asked if the Bills would let be in training camp. He said that he does feel good about it though he has not really trained much because of the injury.
Surgery on his left foot last April has kept Watkins out of much action. He said earlier that the Bills might allow him into training camp though he would likely sit out the first days to get the feel of it before heading out for camp activity.
NFL rumors and various sources have claimed that he would miss out training camp and even preseason though he will likely be available for the NFL season.
The season opens Sept. 11 in Baltimore, Maryland. That is still a long way from training camp. People are hopeful that he would be okay by then though if he would still miss preseason then it might be that he would miss some games early in the season.

Bills coach Rex Ryan has said that Watkins will get some work in training camp. He did add that there is still no definite date on when the wide receiver would be fully active for the team yet. If training camp would still be doubtful all the way to preseason then the opening of the season might see him still miss out some action.
Despite all NFL rumors of missing camp, Watkins has still been upbeat, calling the offseason the best he has ever had so far, as NBC Sports reports. Just like Ryan he also doesn’t have a definite time for being fully active for the Bills.
