Colin Kaepernick to the New York Jets or Cleveland Browns? Not anymore according to a recent report and NFL rumors involving the San Francisco 49ers quarterback and the pair of NFL teams.
Ian Rapoport, the NFL insider for the league’s official website, said that the Browns have ceased chasing Kaepernick after their decision to sign QB Robert Griffin III, previously from the Washington Redskins.
Rapoport also added that the Jets are not chasing Kaepernick as they want to focus on free agent QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, who is still holding out for a bigger contract, according to other NFL rumors.
With the New York and Cleveland teams out of the way as Kaepernick’s destination it leaves the Denver Broncos as the lone squad interested in the 49ers QB.
“That leaves the [Denver] Broncos as Kaepernick’s last logical suitor, but don’t expect the game of musical chairs to reach a brisk conclusion. Kaepernick’s $11.9 million salary becomes fully guaranteed on April 1 and the 49ers do not plan to cut Kaepernick before that date,” A report from the NFL official website stated as NFL rumors of Kaepernick heats up at this point of the offseason.

According to Rapoport, Josh McCown and Brian Hoyer will be the back-ups at Cleveland and both are available for trades.
Rapoport’s report insists that only the Broncos are the team left in the running for Kaepernick. According to other NFL rumors, the 49ers are looking for a second round pick in the draft for any team that wants Kaepernick.
Will the Broncos bow to San Francisco’s demands and make one of the NFL rumors this offseason a reality?
