NFL Rumors: Johnny Manziel aims to comeback for 2017 season?

By on

Johnny Manziel is currently a free agent in the NFL who last played with the Cleveland Browns in 2015. He is just a 23-year-old player who only played a season with the Browns. Manziel is looking to return to the league for the 2017 season in this NFL rumors report.

Johnny only suited up for the Browns in just a year since he has been involved in a lot of controversies.

In the 2015 season, he was pulled over by a policeman after he was seen fighting with his girlfriend. But no charges have been filed against him in that incident. During that season, he is also caught at a Las Vegas’ casino the night before the Browns played their final game.

Manziel was ruled out in the last game of his team due to a concussion. He was supposed to report to a team medic on the next day, but he did not.

His most recent controversy happened on June 30 of this year where he was suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season. It happened when he violated the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

But according to New York Post, Manziel is aiming for a comeback next year as stated by his friend who told the reporter.

“He knows he’s hit rock bottom and he’s giving himself a year to get sober, get ready for football and he wants to play again,” said Johnny’s pal.

Manziel became famous when he was awarded the Heisman trophy in college. This is a notable distinction since he is the only freshman to achieve this.

He also set a record for the most rushing yards in a single game at 108 as a QB for the Browns.

Johnny really needs to be focused this off-season. He should be disciplined so that he could fulfill this NFL rumors report and regain his once blooming career.
