The Pittsburgh Steelers clinched a playoff berth and the AFC North after winning over division rivals Baltimore Ravens, 31-27 on Sunday.
The Steelers came back from a 10-point deficit at the start of the fourth quarter. Then, Pittsburgh grabbed the 24-20 lead midway through the final quarter, but the Ravens got a touchdown with 1:18 to go to get the 27-24 lead.
Steelers came up big on the final drive
The Steelers never gave up and veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger found Antonio Brown for a four-yard touchdown with nine seconds left in the game.
The Ravens’ defense collapse late in the game cost them a chance to win the division and a playoff spot. Meanwhile, the Steelers make the postseason after struggling with consistency and injuries earlier in the regular season.
Ravens QB Joe Flacco and safety Lardarius Webb were devastated after the loss.
“I think next week will be the first meaningless, in terms of playoff implications, a game that I ever played in” Flacco stated to CSN Mid-Atlantic.
“We fought our butts off, but they came up with the play that they needed to win. It’s very disappointing. We worked our butts off all year. We just came up a little short,” Webb added.
The Ravens finish the season against the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh takes on the Cleveland Browns. Both are meaningless games for both squads.

“Over there by the heaters before the final drive, he said ‘AB, you got to go down there and get the game winner,” Brown stated to ESPN about the game-winning TD late in the game with teammates prodding him to deliver them the win.
The Steelers join the New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins as the teams making the postseason from the AFC.
