Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2 will be renamed. Directors of the movie, Joe and Anthony Ruso revealed that they will retitle the movie, which could also have a possible effect on its storylines.

While promoting for their extremely successful Captain America: Civil War, the Russo brothers shared an interesting tidbit regarding “Part 1” and “Part 2” subheadings being a little misleading. The duo confirmed that the titles will be changed.

“The intention is we will change it, we just haven’t come up with the titles yet. But, yes, we will change it. And, that is a scoop: we will retitle them.” Joe said, as reported by UPROXX.

Meanwhile, recent reports suggest that Brie Larson will be cast as Captain Marvel in the upcoming movies from the comic giant. The reports made an interesting note, highlighting that Larson’s Captain Marvel may first appear in Avengers 3 (previously Avengers: Infinity War Part One).

Deadline mentioned that the next Avengers movie could be titled Avengers 3. There has been mixed reactions from the Marvel fanbase regarding the new name of the movie. Many believe that Infinity War possessed a certain level of excitement which Avengers 3 doesn’t.

It has to be noted that Marvel previously released Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3 with similar naming concepts and both the movies fared pretty well in the box office. It is being rumored that the storyline of Avengers 3 will be set on earth.

Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 is slated for release on May 4, 2018 while Part 2 hits theaters on May 3, 2019.
