Bates Motel Season 4 finale delivered one of the creepiest episodes of the series so far. With season 4 of the A&E show ending on a high, viewers are already gearing up for a Bates Motel Season 5 release date. The possible premiere date of the fifth installment of the mystery-thriller is rumored to be spring next year.
The A&E is yet to officially announce the release of Bates Motel Season 5 and if rumors are to be believed, the viewers are set for a long wait. However, the show will indeed return and won’t be further away from next spring, as reported by Carter Matt.
Executive producers of the show, Kery Ehrin and Carlton Cuse recently revealed some major details of what the viewers may expect next season. One of the most important reveal has been the return of Vera Farmiga. Farmiga’s character Norma Bates won’t be checking out of Bates Motel soon and will indeed play a modified role in the next installment.
“She’s existing now in Norman’s brain. You just know that she’s a corpse, and you imagine that she was this shrew of a woman who berated her son into becoming crazy. And that relationship continues in Season 5. But, it’s not the end of the story.” Cuse said to TV Line.
While most of the viewers are excited of seeing how the next season builds up to Alfred Hitchcock’s famous movie “Psycho”, Cuse explained that the A&E series won’t recreate the 1960 movie frame by frame. The final season of Bates Motel will follow a different storyline.
Meanwhile, Max Thieriot and Olivia Cooke will return in season 5 reprising their characters Dylan and Emma respectively. Both of them will have a devious plot in the upcoming rendition.
