Thanks to social media, we know it’s all about who’s going to a rehab, and who is back. Exactly a month after Hip Hop star Kid Cudi posted on Facebook account that he is taking a forced sabbatical to check into a rehab, he made a sensational return at a concert in California on Saturday.
Belting out his hit chartbusters like Up, Up & Way, REVOFEV and the Pursuit of Happiness Kid Cudi was at his best, even as flashes of comments from fans about his suicidal tendencies and aggressive bouts were making the round at ComplexCon in Long Beach. No doubt, the Cleveland rapper brought the guests to their knees, as he was joined by Travis Scott and Pharell Williams on stage.
Swaying to his gyrating moves, Cudi also performed on “Frequency” and “Erase Me”. Cudi and Williams performed on their latest joint venture “Surfin”. The songs are part of their next record Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’. The record got delayed due to Cudi’s rehab, and now the title feels a take away from his grueling experience of life.

The rapper rose to stardom after he joined Kayne West’s music label and delivered his first hit single “Day ‘N’ Nite” which topped many hit lists around the world in 2009. However, his recent Twitter outburst against West and Drake in September this year made him an “outsider” in the fraternity.
Kid Cudi stirred the fire in the celebrity circle when he accused West and Drake on using smaller singers to write for them. Many noted that the expletives were not part of his rather somber personality, and hence speculations began around Cudi’s risky behavior.
In retaliation, Kayne warned Cudi to grow mature and reminded him of his original “Godfather” in the music industry. Drake’ response was a pun-intended “You need to Cud-itttt”.
After Saturday’s performance at ComplexCon 2016, Kid Cudi seems to have gained his footing back, and in return thanked all his fans and well-wishers.
Thankfully, his support system has brought him out of the dark.
Kid Cudi’s birth name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi and was signed in 2008 by Kayne West for his GOOD Music Label. Since then, he has released 5 solo studio albums and is seen as an inspiration for Psychedelic rappers.
