By on

Laurie Hernandez, who is competing on Dancing with the Stars season 23, might want to consider a career in dancing after the perfect performance she gave for week 4 of the reality dancing competition series.

The 16-year old Final Five members were awarded the season’s first perfect score, just four weeks into her run on Dancing with the Stars. The Olympic gymnast and her professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy performed a jazz to Michael Jackson’s The Way You Make Me Feel for week four’s Cirque du Soleil theme.

Hernandez was at a loss for words when the judges, comprised of Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Julienne Hough, gave their three 10s after her performance. Hough even went on to declare the teenager as the “queen of the ballroom” which made Hernandez visibly stunned.

Host Erin Andrews asked the shocked Olympian-turned-dancer, “Can we get a reaction from you?” to which Hernandez covered her mouth and answered with a giggle, “What?!”

While the 16-year-old stood in astonishment, her partner Chmerkovskiy answered the question for her, to which he gave thanks to the original choreographers of the video, to the Jackson family and Michael Jackson himself. He went on to say that “these 10s would not be possible without their influence and without their help.”

After the show, Hernandez is still visibly stunned following the reaction of her performance and getting the season’s first perfect score.

“I felt like I was in a real-life music video!” exclaimed Hernandez in an interview with ET. “I was so surprised, because we hadn’t gotten a ‘9’ yet, and so I was just, like, ‘Wow, we might get our first ‘9’s today!’ And then they went ’10,’ ’10,’ ’10,’ and I was just like, ‘Aaaahhh!!!'”

Chmerkovskiy also joined in saying that their “confidence is sky high” and he was not expecting a perfect score. He went on to praise his dance partner and said that “this was the least time we’ve had to put a dance together.”

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
