Two of the most promising young pop stars these days are apparently involved in a feud. Demi Lovato opened up about her controversial remark towards fellow pop-star in which she said, “Don’t brand yourself a feminist if you don’t do the work.”, in an interview that further explained her side of the story.

When asked about the controversial one-liner pertaining to Swift, Lovato explained, “Talking about it at all is doing the work. And I think every woman does her part in some way. But I think in certain situations, certain people could be doing more if they’re going to claim that as part of their brand.”

According to ABC News, the 24-year old Lovato and the 26-year old Swift were once good friends. Although friends, Lovato has not been in any way associated with Swift or her ‘Bad Blood squad’. In response to so-called squads, Lovato dissed Swift by saying, “I don’t see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body. It’s kind of this false image of what people should look like.”

Rumor has it that the Swift’s song, Bad Blood, was pertaining to Katy Perry, who also has an on-going feud with Swift.
