The Flash Season 2 finale episode is just a few days away and it promises to be twice as big as the season 1 finale. Episode 23 is titled “The Race of His Life” and given by its synopsis, the finale episode will feature a showdown between Barry (Grant Gustin) and Zoom (teddy Sears). This will be the result of the evil speedster revealing his master plan.

The previous episode of the series, titled “Invincible” saw the death of Barry’s father Henry (John Wesley Shipp). This was the result of the protagonist’s cockiness as well as Hunter Zolomon’s [Zoom’s past name] devastating experience as a child, according to International Business Times.

This situation has raised many rumors and speculations suggesting that Barry will die at the end of episode 23. Henry’s death will be a driving force for Barry to take on Zoom and he will do anything to stop the speed-demon. This is where it is being speculated that the titular character of the show will meet his end, or will at least be shown as meeting his death.

Although “Invincible” featured the death of Henry, the episode was not overwhelming as it was expected to be. It mimicked the style of any other regular Flash episodes and nothing special or extraordinary was shown. However, episode 23 or The Flash Season 2 finale is expected to be massive and will make up for a rather blunt episode 22.

The Flash Season 2 finale will air on May 24, 2016 at 8 pm EST on The CW.
