Keeping Up With The Kardashians is currently in its twelfth season. With Kanye West, Kim Kardashian’s husband, hospitalized and placed on psychiatric hold, will it affect the popular reality show?

According to a TMZ report, the long-running E! reality show has temporarily shut down due to Kanye’s hospitalization. While this is not the first time that the show suffered a setback, the latest problem could end the show once and for all.

Kanye Hospitalized

The rapper and husband of the show’s star were placed on psychiatric hold last Monday. The Los Angeles-area police responded to a medical welfare call and placed West under hospital care. The shocking turn of events in West came after he canceled the rest of his Saint Pablo tour.

TMZ notes that the show “came to a screeching halt” due to Kim’s robbery in Paris. According to their sources close to the show’s production, “the cameras will not roll for the rest of the year … possibly longer.” Although they have enough footage for the series commitment, their plan to film through the holidays, however, won’t happen. Kim is apparently “rethinking everything.”

Kim K’s Robbery

Last October 3, E! temporarily halted the production for Keeping Up With The Kardashians after Kim was robbed at gunpoint in Paris. The reality star resumed shooting three weeks later, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She was scheduled to make her first public appearance since the robbery on November 21 but canceled to be at the West’s side.

E! Issues a Statement

In light of this news, E! issued a statement saying that the show will go on. A spokesman for the network told Page Six that the show “is currently in production and has not been halted.” The outlet also reports that “Kanye is still under medical observation. He’s doing better, but he still needs to rest.”

The long-running reality show aired its season 12 finale Nov. 20.
