Lucifer Season 2 release date revealed; spoiler update by D.B. Woodside

The fans of the famous series Lucifer will not have to wait long for the second season as Lucifer Season 2 release date has been confirmed by FOX. The second rendition of the series will return at its usual time slot this fall.

Fox has revealed the list of TV series it’s going to air on Fall 2016 and Lucifer Season 2 is one of them. The show will air in its usual timing, that is on Mondays at 9:00-10:00 p.m. Eastern/Pacific time.

The show will have a midseason schedule, which means that the cable network will give it a longer winter break. The main reason for Lucifer getting its second season is because of the amazing work its writers did for the show.

“We got picked up for Season 2, so obviously. What they came up with for Season 1 worked and was successful and it worked well enough to get us a second season that looks like it’s going to be longer than the first season.” D.B. Woodside, who stars as angel Amenadiel in the show said to Collider.

Woodside also went on to reveal that the second season will please the fans in every way possible. The plot of the show will kick off from where season one ended. The 46-year-old actor stressed on the fact that the fans are really going to be excited to see the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, the viewers of the show are expecting a name who will be cast as Lucifer’s mom. However, nothing has been revealed yet from the producers. Showrunner Joe Henderson made a previous statement which stated that the entire crew is open-minded regarding the casting of Lucifer’s mom. The character will not be specified by ethnicity.

Lucifer Season 2 will focus mainly on the titular character’s issues with his mother.
