The Legend of Tarzan movie directed by David Yates will hit the movie screens this summer. Two of its main casts Margot Robbie and Alexander Skarsgard were shooting a sex scene when Robbie punched Skarsgard hard as directed by Yates. The force was a little too strong which led to the Tarzan actor receiving a bruise. However, Yates did reveal the real reason behind Robbie going ahead with the punch.
“They’re doing this love scene together, and I said [to Robbie], ‘Just slap Alex while you’re making love, just kind of give him a punch.’ The only bruise he picked up during the entire shoot was probably that punch from Margot.” Yates told Entertainment Weekly.
Mr. Tarzan himself wasn’t angry with his co-star Robbie after the incident. Instead, he praised her for having strong characteristics. Skarsgard stated that the movie needed a girl with a strong and independent character, which Margot portrayed flawlessly.
“It was very important that we didn’t want it to feel archaic or dated, where it’s like, tough guy has to save the poor girl. You have to feel that she’s strong and independent, and when you cast Margot, you’ll definitely get that.” Skarsgard said.
The Legend of Tarzan boasts of an incredible cast which includes the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, John Hurt, Christoph Waltz, Djimon Hounsou, Ella Purnell and more.
One would expect a much darker version of Tarzan considering David Yates’ previous movies like “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” and “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince” Compared to its Disney counterpart.
The Legend of Tarzan releases on July 1, 2016 in USA.
