After photos of Miley Cyrus without her engagement ring prompted fans to speculate that her wedding with Liam Hemsworth was off, the Voice judge recently reconfirmed that she was still with her fiancée, but she hated her ring.

During her interview on the Ellen Degeneres show, Cyrus (who was, yes, wearing her ring) lay all doubts to rest about her relationship with Hemsworth and her desire to go through a legal marriage.

“I actually really don’t talk about it that much, but I think that’s something that people should understand is young people in general, what we wear and what a relationship and a commitment mean, is very different to what tabloids like to make it mean,” she said addressing the breakup rumors. “I think young people have a different idea of partnering and not feeling that this necessarily means this is going to have a legal document “

Though the star also admitted to DeGeneres that she was not really a fan of Hemsworth’s choice of engagement rings, admitting she prefers toy rings over “real jewelry.”

“This is really weird because this is, like, real jewelry and most of my jewelry is made out of gummy bears and cotton candy, and they don’t look that good together ’cause they kind of mix up,” she said. “So sometimes I like to replace it with an actual unicorn or a Looney Tune. And (Hemsworth) is kind of like, ‘What’s going on?’ ‘Well,’ I am like, ‘This isn’t really my aesthetic, but I’ll wear it because you love me.'”

Miley Cyrus and Chris Hemsworth got engaged in 2012, but the two celebrities broke up soon after in 2013 after realizing that they were “too young” at that time. Late last year, though, the two were back together seemingly stronger and more in love than ever.

Now, since wedding bells seem to be in the air, maybe Hemsworth can save some money and just buy toys and candy instead of flowers and cake for their special day.

It seems that Miley Cyrus wouldn’t mind.
