Fans are already upbeat for NCIS Season 14 as season 13 wrapped up with Michael Weatherly’s farewell episode. The question on everyone’s lips is whether special agent Tony DiNozzo would return in the upcoming season, even as a guest character. The same question applies for Cote de Pablo as well.
“I believe in the franchise of NCIS very much. I would absolutely be open to anything and everything, including things that no one’s even thought of yet. So, the long answer is yes.” Weatherly said when he was asked about a possible return to NCIS Season 14, as reported by Deadline.
Although the 47-year-old has not denied of his return, it could not be said with accuracy that the character DiNozzo will make a return next season. Even if he does make an appearance as a guest star, it may not be in NCIS Season 14.
Meanwhile, there has been no new update from Cote de Pablo regarding her return to the show. The 36-year-old actress played the character Ziva in the series and exited the show in season 11. Back in April, her Twitter account revealed that she will not return for Michael Weatherly’s farewell episode.
NCIS Season 14 release date has not been officially announced yet and it looks like the viewers of the show will have to wait for some time before they get to see their favorite crime-action-drama once again.
Although nothing has been confirmed as of yet, new characters Tess Monroe played by Sarah Clarke and Duane Henry played by Clayton Reeves may reprise their roles in the upcoming season.
