It seems Pippa Middleton is all set to walk down the aisle for her grand wedding to James Matthews next year amid rumors of cancellation, as new details have been revealed about the event of the year and wedding preparations are in full swing.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister and her hedge fund manager/royal family member fiancé Matthews are reported will get married on May 2017, according to a very close friend of Pippa as exclusively reported by People.
“Of course she is super excited and already planning everything,” said Pippa’s friend, adding that the engaged couple has a lot in common. “He’s charming and old-fashioned, everyone thinks he’s quite the catch,” the friend said.
The soon-to-be wedding of the year, however, was marred by cancellation rumors following reports that the younger Middleton allegedly did not want her thunder to be stolen by rumors of a royal baby. There were unfounded claims that her sister, Duchess Kate Middleton, is allegedly pregnant and the news of a royal baby might overshadow her wedding.
However, it seems these rumors did not affect the bride-to-be, rightfully so, as her society wedding is still kicking into high gear. The soon to be married couple were spotted recently on a stroll with their dogs in London, as reported by the Daily Mail. This is the first time the couple has been seen together since their engagement announcement.

The couple got engaged on July 17 where James proposed to Pippa during a romantic getaway in Lake District. He popped the question to the younger Middleton, who he had been pursuing for ten years.
They rekindled their romance after Pippa broke up with her boyfriend Nico Jackson. The 33-year-old’s mega-carat engagement ring took center-stage when she was spotted in London after her engagement.

The diamond ring is said to be from Robinson Pelham, the boutique jeweler who designed the earrings worn by Kate Middleton on her wedding day in 2011. Their parents Carole and Michael Middleton commissioned the earring.
The engagement ring, with its classic design and octagonal halo of sparkling channel-set diamonds, is reportedly worth over $250,000. While the Chelsea-based jeweler has not commented on the ring as it was a private commission, Pippa was seen at their boutique days after her engagement announcement.
