Despite being confirmed as the next director of the Batman movie in 2018, Ben Affleck has raised doubts regarding his involvement with the film. The main criteria for the actor to be involved in the project are the quality of the script.
“I’m not going to make a movie until there’s a script that I think is good because I’ve been on the end of the things when you make movies when you have a script that’s not good yet and it doesn’t pan out,” Ben said.
Rumors started circulating since July 2015 regarding Affleck directing the Batman movie 2018. This was after he finished directing the movie “Live by Night.”
The speculation was later confirmed by Kevin Tsujihara, Warner Bros CEO and chairman. He stated that Ben Affleck would indeed be starring and directing the next Batman solo movie.
Affleck provided more details about directing the movie recently in an interview on the set of Justice League Part 1, as reported by BirthMoviesDeath.com
When asked about when he wants the Batman movie 2018 to be released in theaters, Ben suggested that it was not decided as the script is not ready yet. This means that the release date set by the producers of the film might change.
