Fans who are hoping to catch some of the ‘Walking Dead’ stars who have long been away from the show will be happy to see some of them reunite in the silver screen. We’re talking of Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) and Sean Patrick Flannery (Connor McMannus) who will act together in the upcoming ‘Boondock Saints 3.’
Although the release date of the movie hasn’t been confirmed nor announced yet, the two actors are sure to reunite again in this film where they played fraternal twins who suddenly found themselves on the run after killing two members of the Russian Mafia. This was confirmed by Reedus himself when asked about the film during the Reddit AMA.
“Yeah, it’s on. in the works, happening, sean would be great on the show he’s a real life ninja,” he said.
News about the ‘Boondock Saints’ having a third installment started as early as last year. It was confirmed last September when the movie’s writer and director Troy Duffy confirmed and revealed some juicy details about the script. The third installment will be titled ‘Boondock Saints III: Legion” where the brothers got elevated to folk hero status.
The first installment of the movie, which was shown in 1999, was ripped by the critics calling it a cheap Quentin Tarantino wannabe. Ten years later, “Boondock Saints II” was shown with rousing success than the first one. Compared to the first one which earned $30,471 only, the second one made $10.2 million at the box-office tills.
While the two actors are waiting for action for “Boondock Saints 3,” they have been busy with other projects with Reedus still is reprising his role in “Walking Dead” while Flanery is part of “Kepler’s Dream,”which also stars Kelly Hu and Holland Taylor. The movie is set for release in 2017.
