Nick Cannon has thrown a $100k challenge to Eminem after a year-long feud with the “Real Slim Shady” rapper in a recent interview. Will Eminem, who is more interested in making his new album more meaningful, consider such a challenge?
The “Wild ‘n Out” host first expressed his wish for a rap battle with Eminem in twitter earlier in 2016. His January 7 tweet read “Everybody knows I would LOVE @ Eminem to be on Wildnout! Yall, go convince Marshall!!!”
Cannon is eyeing the BET Award show on June 26. And he wants Eminem to compete with him on that night. His feud with Grammy-winning singer dates back to 2009 after Eminem released a scathing music track about Cannon’s former wife Mariah Carey. Eminem and Carey dated way back in 2001, but the songstress categorically denied the relationship. And now it seems that “Wild ‘n Out” host is obsessed for a face-off with the rap god.
“I’m still ready! I’m trying to find him. Where is he? We gonna be out in the States for the BET Awards. I’m holding a $100,000 battle — whoever wants it — but it has to be someone who can put up 100 grand.” Cannon revealed in an interview with Tim Westwood, the DJ of the U.K. Radio, as reported by the Huffington Post.
Cannon labeled Eminem’s record as “mediocre” in his blog post and accused the rapper of “racial bigotry.”
“Maybe I’m going too far, but I thought we got past the days where white men could spew vulgar obscenities at our beautiful queens and get away with it.” Cannon pointed out.
Eminem released his last album three years back. He recently revealed that he won’t release a new one unless it is meaningful, as reported by the Sports Rageous last week. And at this time, the rap god lacks.
