Speculations of an upcoming World War 3 continue to increase as tensions between the West and Russia rises and this time, NATO is preparing 300,000 troops ready to be deployed to Moscow as it has become a threat for many nations.

Apart from the Russia-United States feud, countries from the Eastern Europe are also gearing up for war, a war most would not like to push through. NATO is also rolling up its sleeves in preparation for a possible world war 3.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is an organization of intergovernmental military alliance based on the North Atlantic Treaty. The treaty was formulated to ensure peace in case of international disputes and the organization forms a system of collective defence where its member contries agree to mutual defence in response to an attack by any external party.

There are 28 member countries in NATO currently and they are the United States, United Kingdom, Turkey, Spain, Slovenia, Slovakia, Romania, Portugal, Norway, Netherland, Luxembourg, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Iceland, Hungary, Greece, Germany, France, Denmark, Estonia, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Belgium and Albania.

Article 5 of the treaty requires member countries to come to the aid of any member country subject to an armed attack and part of the alliance is military advice and military power contribution. NATO secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg told The Times UK that the troops coming from countries under the alliance are preparing for war against Russia.

“We have seen Russia being much more active in many different ways,” Mr Stoltenberg told The Times, per Independent. “We have seen a more assertive Russia implementing a substantial military build-up over many years – tripling defence spending since 2000 in real terms; developing new military capabilities; exercising their forces and using military force against neighbours.”

“We have also seen Russia using propaganda in Europe among Nato allies and that is exactly the reason why Nato is responding,” Mr. Stoltenberg continues. “We are responding with the biggest reinforcement of our collective defence since the end of the Cold War.”

While the NATO secretary-general did not confirm the number of troops, Britain’s outgoing NATO rep Sir Adam Thomson said the troops would likely to be about 300,000. The ongoing US-Russia feud may play be a big part in the deployment of the NATO troops in Russia.
