World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is considering a major return plan for wrestling great Kurt Angle. The company is struggling for viewership in it’s both shows, RAW and SmackDown and is looking towards big-name matches to get it right.
It was reported a few days back by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer regarding the WWE return of Kurt Angle. Meltzer stated that Vince McMahon, owner of the company has been negative on the wrestler’s return in the past, but minds in the sports entertainment business change from time-to-time.
All up to Vince. He's been very negative in the past, but mind can be changed. https://t.co/EkEMiP8IAe

Meanwhile, Anthony DiMoro of Forbes has revealed that a source close to him has indicated of a Kurt Angle return to WWE before WrestleMania 33. The company wishes to get its ratings up before the WrestleMania season and Angle’s return will promise that. They may also book him to make a surprise entry at Royal Rumble 2017.
It has been previously reported that WWE has had interest in bringing the Olympic gold winner back at the promotion. However, his substance abuses were a major reason for them to rethink their decision. Kurt Angle also has a surgically-repaired neck and this has worked against his return as well, according to Inquisitr.
But, it must be noted that WWE has brought wrestlers back who had past demons. The likes of Scott Hall and Jake “The Snake” Roberts were given second chances after they became clean. Both the wrestlers were included in the company’s Hall of Fame.
Kurt Angle has revealed in an interview in the past that he has been sober from substance abuse for around three years now. He has stopped taking Xanax and alcohol.
Meanwhile, Vince McMahon is desperate to increase the ratings of both RAW and SmackDown. Both the shows of WWE has struggled to bring in viewership of late and this has made the top brass of the company unsettled.
McMahon and company are looking at various avenues to correct the problem. Bringing in established names is one of the solution they are looking forward too. The management decided to bring in Bill Goldberg and book him in a match with Brock Lesnar at the Survivor Series in order to give ratings a boost.
They may also be looking to do the same with Kurt Angle. The creative of the wrestling promotion is also considering the return of Bubba Ray Dudley as well as Shawn Michaels to fix the ratings issue.
