Recently, the misunderstanding between the “Zen Master” and Anthony deepens when Jackson took a shot at LeBron James. Anthony didn’t like Jackson’s choice of word and defended his pal. When the rift started, rumors spread that Anthony will be leaving the Knicks for the Cavaliers.
Kevin Love remains as the possible trade piece that the Cavaliers could use to acquire Anthony. However, both teams show no indication of making the deal. Still, Anthony joining LeBron James in 2017 is still a possibility.
Last year, James revealed his plan to play together with his friends Anthony, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Paul.
“It would be pretty cool,” James said. “I’ve definitely had thoughts about it. I really hope that, before our career is over, we can all play together. At least one, maybe one or two seasons — me, Melo, D-Wade, CP — we can get a year in. I would actually take a pay cut to do that.”
So far, the Cavaliers remain focus with their goal to defend the title this season. If they fail, expect more Carmelo-Anthony-to-Cleveland-Cavaliers rumors to circulate in 2017.
