The Chicago Bulls have done well in upgrading their current roster this summer. According to the latest NBA rumors, DeMarcus Cousins will be teaming up with Rajon Rondo and Jimmy Butler to build their own version of ‘Super Team’.
DeMarcus Cousins has been involved in various trade rumors this offseason, including the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls started rebuilding the team by trading Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks. This move obviously means that the Bulls are declaring Jimmy Butler as the new face of the franchise.
In the recent free agency, the Bulls succeeded to acquire a top-caliber ball handler, Rajon Rondo, and a three-time NBA champion, Dwyane Wade. Though it is still unknown whether how these three superstars will be fitted in one team, there is no doubt that the Chicago Bulls are now in the right direction.
Despite this improvements, there are speculations that the Bulls are not done yet in upgrading their roster. According to Allana Tachauer of Hoops Habit, the Bulls are interested in acquiring DeMarcus Cousins this summers. ‘Boogie’ has been the center of issues after his controversial tweet in the 2016 NBA draft.

The latest acquisitions of the Sacramento Kings have shown an unpredictable future for the franchise. The Kings selected two big men who obviously have the same position as DeMarcus Cousins. No one was buying the Kings’ offseason plan and even their own players do not understand what they’re doing.
If DeMarcus Cousins demands a trade, the Kings have no choice but to move him to other teams. However, the Kings will surely demand a higher offer for ‘Boogie’. The Bulls currently have plenty of young talents on their roster that can be used as trade pieces. Doug McDermott, Nikola Mirotic, Bobby Portis, Denzel Valentine, and Jerian Grant could be potential trade assets to acquire DeMarcus Cousins.

DeMarcus Cousins is currently one of the best big men in the league. However, staying in Sacramento won’t help him achieve his goal. Last season, Cousins had his best season and Rajon Rondo was undeniably one of the major reasons.
If the Chicago Bulls succeed to acquire DeMarcus Cousins, they will surely have a chance to battle against the best teams in the Eastern Conference. The offseason has still a long way to go and such things can happen until the 2016-17 NBA season officially starts.
